For all cargo destined for Ghana( (including transit cargo), the shipper or his freight for warder must issue a CTN/ECTN/SPN certificate at the port of loading.
Each bill of lading must contain at least one CTN/ECTN/SPN, and its unique number must be entered in the bill of lading and cargo manifest, otherwise it will be fined by the shipping company.
Arriving goods without a valid CTN/ECTN/SPN will not be cleared by Customs until a valid CTN/ECTN/SPN certificate is presented.
