What is EU RoHS Testing
——RoHS is a mandatory standard established by EU legislation, and its full name is (Restriction of Hazardous Substances).
The standard officially came into effect on July 1, 2006. It is mainly used to regulate the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products, making them more conducive to human health and environmental protection.
EU RoHS Testing product range
——1. Large household appliances: refrigerators, washing machines, microwave ovens, air conditioners, etc.; 2. Small household appliances: vacuum cleaners, electric irons, hair dryers, ovens, clocks, etc.; 3. IT and communication equipment: computers, fax machines, telephones, mobile phones, etc.; 4. Consumer equipment: radios, televisions, video recorders, musical instruments, etc.; 5. Lighting equipment: fluorescent lamps other than household lighting, lighting control devices; 6. Electrical and electronic tools: electric drills, lathes, welding equipment, sprayers, etc. (excluding large industrial tools that need to be installed); 7. Toys/entertainment, sports equipment: electric vehicles, video game consoles; 8. Medical devices: radiation therapy equipment, electrocardiograph testers, analytical instruments, etc.; 9. Monitoring/control equipment: smoke detectors, thermostats, factory monitoring and control machines, etc.; 10. Automatic vending machines. Please note that the RoHS directive currently does not apply to items listed in points 8 and 9.
EU RoHS required information
——➤ For heavy metal testing only: Solid samples require approximately 5-10g, and liquid samples require 5-10mL; ➤ For brominated flame retardant testing only: Solid samples require approximately 10-20g, and liquid samples require 10-20mL; ➤ For heavy metals with organic pollutant testing: Provide approximately 20-30g of the sample; ➤ For other organic pollutant testing: Provide approximately 30g of the sample; ➤ For samples only testing the coating (layer), please specify the approximate weight of the coating (layer) part. If the weight of the coating (layer) part does not meet the sample requirements, please provide the raw materials of the coating (layer).
RoHS Testing Factory Inspection
Factory inspection is not required, but RoHS generally requires an annual validity period. In fact, the RoHS test report is based on the analysis of the product. As long as the material, production process, and procedures of your product remain unchanged, the test report can be valid for a long time.
RoHS Testing Certification Cycle
RoHS integration: Below 20 sets, 5 working days; Above 20 sets, 7 working days. RoHS testing: 5 working days.
